“Using Data To Address Significant Injuries & Fatalities (SIF)”
The total recordable incident rates in the United States have been steadily decreasing for many years. However, total worker fatalities increased in both 2014 and 2015 and rose to levels not seen since 2008. In addition, the US fatality rate has remained essentially flat for over a decade while the average cost of worker compensation claims has increased significantly.
This workshop addresses the issues at play within our industry as well as offers methods to address and overcome these barriers to improvement.
Learning Objectives:
- Demonstrate the current trends within the industry
- Identify barriers to existing methodologies that often prevent long term improvement
- Discuss solutions that can be used to address SIFs
